Scott Ayers
Fire Program Manager, US Consumer Product Safety Commission

Scott is a member of a number of ASTM, CSA, NFPA, UL, and ASHRAE product standards committees. His professional interests include fire safety, consumer product safety, carbon monoxide safety, standards development, and indoor air quality. He has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a master’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, both from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Wisconsin and is certified as a Project Management. Professional by PMI.

Josh Fulbright
Community Risk Reduction Chief, South Carolina Office of State Fire Marshal

Chief Fulbright leads a team tasked with fire and life safety data analysis, curriculum coordination, and outreach. He coordinates statewide risk reduction efforts through the Fire Safe South Carolina program, manages fire fatality research, statewide incident reporting, public education, and serves with the Palmetto Incident Support Team. Nationally, he serves in roles with Vision 20/20, NFPA, and the National Fire Academy.
Bruce Johnson
Regulatory Services Manage, UL Solutions' Codes and Regulatory Services

Bruce serves on several NFPA model code development committees and is a member of the Vision 20/20 Steering Committee.   Prior to joining UL, Bruce served thirty plus years in the fire, emergency services and life safety arena beginning as a volunteer firefighter on Long Island,NY.  Bruce served as a Fire Marshal and NY State certified Code Official, retiring in 2008.  He worked for the International Code Council (ICC) as Vice President, Government Relations, focusing on Fire Service Activities before joining UL Solutions in 2015. Bruce earned a Bachelor degree in Fire Service Administration from Empire State College; Bachelor degree in Accounting from Dowling College and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
Amanda Kimball
Executive Director of The Fire Protection Research Foundation


The Fire Protection research foundation is an affiliate of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). In her role as executive director, Amanda provides leadership on research initiatives that pertain to fire protection, emergency response, and virtually everything that challenges safety in the built environment. Amanda has her BS in civil engineering and MS in fire protection engineering from WPI and also a registered professional fire protection engineer in the state of Massachusetts.
